PATA: Employee intranet with ERP integration
PATA employees could self-serve salary details and documents, cutting payroll inquiries and speeding up announcements.
The idea
PATA manages the full forest lifecycle, from seedlings to timber harvesting and sales, across Latvia. With field teams spread across the country, internal communication relied on emails, phone calls, and manual spreadsheets. Employees had no central place to check company news, access policy documents, or review their salary details. HR spent hours each month fielding individual payroll questions.
PATA needed a single internal platform where every employee could find what they need without calling the office.
What we built
We developed a company intranet tailored to PATA’s specific workflows:
- AXAPTA accounting integration Employees see their salary breakdown in real time, pulled directly from the company's ERP system, with no manual exports and no delays.
- Company news and announcements A central feed for updates, policy changes, and operational notices that replaces the email chain.
- Document library Safety procedures, HR policies, and operational guides, all searchable and always up to date.
- Role-based access Field workers, managers, and HR each see what's relevant to them.
The integration with AXAPTA was the most complex part. We built a secure API bridge that syncs salary data nightly, handling edge cases like mid-month adjustments and tax recalculations.
The result
HR payroll inquiries dropped, with employees now self-serving through the portal. Company-wide announcements go out the same day, instead of after a week of forwarded emails. New employees onboard faster with all policies and procedures in one place. The system has been running reliably with minimal maintenance since launch.
