Project Overview

FreeDM was created to bridge the gap between service buyers and providers, addressing concerns about quality, price, and ease of transactions. It offers a platform where entrepreneurs and companies can connect with buyers, allowing service providers to control their hours and focus on delivering high-quality services. Initially oriented towards cleaning and elderly care services, FreeDM plans to expand into babysitting services in the future. The marketplace handles bookings and payments, streamlining the process for both buyers and sellers.

Execution

IT House undertook various tasks to enhance FreeDM’s functionality and user experience. Key development efforts included:

  1. Availability Management: Implemented features allowing service providers to set and edit combined date and time availability, and enabling availability search for specific date and time slots.
  2. Landing Page Creation: Developed an engaging landing page to attract users and explain the platform’s benefits.
  3. Referral and Bonus Codes: Added functionality for generating and applying referral and bonus codes to incentivize user growth.
  4. VAT Integration: Incorporated VAT invoicing and emailing for users who are VAT payers, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  5. Guest Checkout: Enabled a guest checkout option, simplifying the purchasing process for new users.
  6. Subletting Option: Developed a subletting feature, allowing users to offer their booked services to others.
  7. Booking Limitations: Added the ability to limit how many users can book a facility within the same time slot, ensuring optimal service delivery.

These enhancements were tailored to improve both the user and service provider experience, making the platform more robust and versatile.

Project Results

The collaboration between IT House and FreeDM resulted in a well-rounded marketplace platform that effectively connects service providers with customers. The implemented features such as availability management, referral codes, VAT integration, and guest checkout have significantly improved the usability and functionality of the platform.
