Project Overview

Navisyo connects boat owners with new-world travellers, offering affordable and authentic Floatel stays, voyages, and events on the water. The innovative platform allows for unique travel experiences through an open-source booking system. IT House began working with Navisyo in late 2020, starting with the Sharetribe template and continually enhancing it to meet the evolving needs of the marketplace.

Execution

IT House collaborated with the Navisyo team to implement numerous custom features and updates, including:

  • Unique Design for Desktop & Mobile: High-quality design standards were applied across both desktop and mobile versions, significantly customizing the initial template to meet Navisyo's aesthetic requirements.
  • Different Categories: Created three main categories—Floatels, Voyages, and Events—each with its own listing wizard and public view. This customization allows for various booking types, such as overnight stays, day bookings, and trip bookings.
  • Price Negotiation for Events: Developed a unique transaction process for events, allowing providers to set prices based on guest requests, facilitating negotiation.
  • Parent & Child Listings: Enabled floatels to offer cabins as child listings under parent boat listings. This required significant updates to search queries and listing visibility.
  • Voucherify Integration: Integrated Voucherify for managing discounts, coupons, gift cards, and an Ambassador program to track and manage user earnings.
  • SEO Improvements: Enhanced SEO by updating meta information, adding sitemaps, optimizing images, and changing cache policies to improve search engine rankings.
  • High & Low Season Pricing: Implemented features allowing boat owners to define high and low seasons and set corresponding prices.
  • Off-Session Payments: Extended booking periods up to one year using off-session payments, accommodating guests who book far in advance.

Project Results

The collaboration between IT House and Navisyo has resulted in a highly functional and visually appealing marketplace. The unique design and category-specific features have enhanced the user experience, making it easier for travelers to find and book boat stays, voyages, and events. The price negotiation feature and parent-child listings have added flexibility and depth to the booking process.

SEO improvements have increased the platform’s visibility, driving more traffic and engagement. The integration of Voucherify for discounts and the Ambassador program has incentivized user participation and growth. The ability to handle high and low season pricing and extended booking periods has made the platform more adaptable to market demands.

Alexander Michaels, CEO/Founder of Navisyo, praised IT House for their collaborative approach, excellent communication, and cost-effective solutions, contributing to the marketplace's success over the past two years.
