A Ruby on Rails crowdfunding platform, ProjektuBanka, leveraging collective effort to raise capital with various payment gateway integrations.
ProjektuBanka is a crowdfunding project designed to help raise capital through the collective effort of friends, family, customers, and individual investors. Unlike traditional business finance, which involves pitching to a limited pool of wealthy individuals or institutions, crowdfunding platforms streamline the process by providing a single platform to build, showcase, and share entrepreneurial pitches. IT House helped create ProjektuBanka using a ready-made open-source crowdfunding product called Neighborly.com, built on Ruby on Rails.
The main features of Neighborly.com were largely out-of-the-box, so IT House focused on setting up various payment gateways to accommodate different user preferences. Our developers integrated multiple payment systems including FirstData, PayPal, Swedbank payments, SEB bank payments, and Paysera. This ensured that the platform could support a wide range of transactions, making it easier for entrepreneurs to receive funding from various sources.
The development process involved configuring and customizing the open-source solution to meet the specific needs of ProjektuBanka. This included setting up the payment gateways to ensure smooth and secure transactions, as well as making minor adjustments to the platform's functionality to better serve its users.
ProjektuBanka has successfully provided a streamlined and efficient crowdfunding platform, enabling entrepreneurs to raise capital more effectively. The integration of multiple payment gateways has made it accessible and convenient for a broad user base. The platform now supports a wide range of transactions, enhancing its usability and appeal.
The collaboration between IT House and ProjektuBanka has resulted in a robust and user-friendly crowdfunding portal that leverages the collective effort to support entrepreneurial ventures.
