Project Overview
Pairables is a peer-to-peer rental platform that connects users looking to rent items with those willing to lend them within their community. The platform is built on the principle of promoting sustainable living by encouraging the rental of items instead of purchasing new ones. This helps reduce waste and fosters a sense of community. Pairables aims to make it easy to find and rent items for various needs, from recreational gear to tools and equipment, without the hassle of ownership.
Execution
IT House collaborated with Pairables to develop a robust marketplace with several custom features to enhance user experience and platform functionality. Key features implemented include:
- Reverse Marketplace: Companies post job requests, and recruiters apply with recruitment offers, ensuring a competitive and dynamic recruitment process.
- Different Booking Models: Developed hourly and daily booking options, allowing flexibility for users to rent items according to their specific needs. This was achieved despite the limitation of Sharetribe's console, showcasing our technical expertise.
- Multiple Listing Categories: Enabled a variety of listing categories, making it easier for users to find and rent exactly what they need, from sporting goods to camping gear.
- Veriff Integration: Integrated Veriff for user verification, ensuring that only verified users can make reservations. This added layer of security builds trust within the community.
- FareHarbor Integration: Integrated with FareHarbor to manage and track affiliate clicks, enhancing the platform’s capability to handle complex booking and tracking requirements.
- Custom Design: Designed a unique and user-friendly interface that reflects Pairables’ community-centric approach, making the platform intuitive and visually appealing.
- Custom Checkout Process: Implemented a streamlined checkout process where users can select shipping or pickup options for the entire cart, simplifying transactions and improving user satisfaction.
