Project Overview

The State Medical Commission for the Assessment of Health Condition and Working Ability (SMC) is a public administration institution subordinate to the Ministry of Welfare. The primary function of SMC is to perform disability assessments and make decisions on disability claims, determining whether or not claimants are disabled under the law. IT House was tasked with creating a website from scratch, built on WordPress, to serve the needs of disabled individuals visiting the site. The site had to meet specific accessibility rules, including easy readability, font enlarging options, and a mode for the visually impaired.

Execution

The project involved developing a WordPress website with a strong focus on accessibility and user experience for disabled individuals.

The design and development process began with a thorough understanding of the accessibility requirements. A clean and intuitive interface was created, ensuring that all content is easily readable. Key accessibility features were incorporated, such as options for font enlargement and a special mode for the visually impaired, which includes high-contrast text and background adjustments.

Using WordPress allowed us to build a flexible and easy-to-manage website, enabling the SMC staff to update content effortlessly. The responsive design ensures that the site is accessible and functional across all devices, from desktops to mobile phones. Additionally, SEO best practices were implemented to improve the site's visibility and make it easier for users to find the information they need.

Project Results

The WordPress website for the State Medical Commission for the Assessment of Health Condition and Working Ability (SMC) has successfully met the specified accessibility requirements, resulting in several positive outcomes. The website clearly communicates essential information and services, ensuring that disabled individuals can easily navigate and find what they need.
