CageList: Booking batting cages, made simple
We built a Sharetribe marketplace for renting batting cages. It includes location search, a voucher system, a wishlist, and custom listing design.
The idea
CageList is a marketplace for renting local batting cages to baseball and softball players, coaches, and families. It connects players with backyard cages and indoor facilities where they can practice, and makes it easy for cage owners to rent out their space.
What we built
We built CageList as a Sharetribe rental marketplace with features for discovery and engagement:
- Voucherify integration Discount vouchers for promotional offers
- Listing sharing Social sharing of listings, increasing visibility
- Wishlist Saving favorite batting cages for future bookings
- Extra services Additional services like equipment rentals and training sessions that cage owners can offer
- Advanced booking models Hourly and daily booking options, implemented despite Sharetribe's limitations
- Custom design A unique, user-friendly design reflecting CageList's brand
- Platform migration Migration to a newer Sharetribe version, which added features like content editing
The result
We delivered a feature-rich platform connecting batting cage owners with players. Advanced booking models, voucher integration, and wishlists improved engagement. The custom design and the platform migration enhanced functionality.
