The idea

reSound is a UK-based marketplace for refurbished and pre-loved musical instruments, founded by musicians with expertise in technology, music retail, and sustainability. The pre-loved music market is fragmented, with rare finds scattered across classifieds, forums, and local shops with no trust signals. reSound unifies it with a curated platform where only verified businesses can create listings.

What we built

We worked closely with the reSound team to develop a feature-rich marketplace with several custom developments.

  • Verified listings Listing creation limited to verified businesses, ensuring products meet high standards of quality
  • Advanced user profiles Profiles that can be shared on social platforms, enhancing engagement and visibility
  • Price negotiation Price negotiation between users until a deal is accepted and paid
  • Enhanced discovery Similar listings, wishlists, trending listings, and browsing history
  • Advanced monetization Fees from both customers and providers, plus a flat fee option
  • Flexible transactions Manual or automatic order acceptance, chosen by sellers
  • Embedded forms Contact and listing submission forms embedded for easy access

The result

Launched fast and built to a high standard. reSound now connects verified sellers with musicians across the UK and gives idle instruments a trusted home instead of leaving them to gather dust. The partnership continues, with new features shipping regularly. See it live at resound.market

IT House developed reSound at lightning speed without ever compromising on quality. They turned our vision into a working marketplace, and they continue to deliver.
