Teachlive: Finding private music teachers online
A Sharetribe Flex marketplace for booking music lessons: teacher dashboards, cancellation policies, and PayPal integration.
The idea
Teachlive is a German marketplace that helps users find private music teachers immediately, offering both online and in-person lessons. We worked closely with the Teachlive team for several months, starting with the Sharetribe Flex hourly template and adding extensive custom coding.
What we built
A Sharetribe Flex marketplace with teacher-specific features:
- Visual identity and design Implemented Teachlive's look and feel, creating a unique visual identity for the marketplace
- Custom dashboard Built on top of the typical Flex Inbox, organizing transactions by closest date and transaction status
- Configurable cancellation policies Teachers choose their preferred policy: free cancellation up to 48 hours before the lesson, or no cancellation
- Search optimization Removed the need for a map for online classes while retaining location search for offline classes
- Jitsi integration High-quality video and audio meetings directly on the transaction details page for online lessons
- Free session and payment support Free lessons per month with customized checkout, plus GiroPay and PayPal integration alongside Stripe
The result
A feature-rich marketplace connecting music teachers with students. The custom dashboard and cancellation policies simplified transaction management. Search optimization and Jitsi integration enhanced the online lesson experience. Free sessions and multiple payment options (GiroPay and PayPal alongside Stripe) made the platform flexible and attractive to both teachers and students.
