Bring Your Mates: Connecting event promoters with influencers

We built a Sharetribe marketplace matching event promoters with influencers. It included three listing types, price negotiation, legal agreements, and guestlist management.

The idea

We built Bring Your Mates as a platform for event promoters who need press attention and influencer support. Whether it’s a gig, festival, club night, or networking event, promoters can find and pitch to the right media partners and influencers, at a fraction of the cost of agencies, and without the hassle of finding the right people online. Users get feedback and invite journalists and content creators. They also secure reviews and negotiate prices, all within one platform.

What we built

A Sharetribe marketplace with several custom features beyond the standard platform:

  • Three listing types and transaction processes Tailored to different types of event-media partnerships, providing flexibility and customization
  • Price negotiation Dynamic pricing within transactions, allowing flexible agreements between promoters and media partners
  • Membership subscription Different levels of access and benefits for users
  • Legal agreement signing Integrated into the transaction process to simplify event coordination
  • Guestlist creation Built into transactions for event planning
  • File sending Videos, pictures, and documents shared within transactions for better collaboration between promoters and media partners

The result

A platform purpose-built for event promoters who previously relied on agencies or manual outreach. The listing types covered the range of event-media relationships, each with its own transaction flow. Built-in price negotiation and legal agreement signing removed the back-and-forth outside the platform. Guestlist tools and file sharing kept coordination in one place. The membership model gave the platform a tiered revenue structure from launch.
